What seems like an unassuming quaint home on 39 West Commerce Street in Hernando, Mississippi, is actually a unique all-American dining spot we think you will love.

Charles King and his wife, Leslie, opened The Docket in March, a legal-themed restaurant located less than a mile from the DeSoto County Courthouse.

The Docket is open for breakfast and lunch weekdays, and stays open for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. Charles and Leslie sought to bring a little twist on all-American classics, so guests are still getting all the Southern charm with fun additions from new flavor profiles. Safe to say, they accomplished that mission.

A few notable menu items

  • The Pimento Sunrise Melt: Ciabatta, pimento cheese, soft-baked egg, smoked bacon pepper marmalade
  • G.O.A.T Jam Melt: 8-ounce Angus blend patty (chuck, brisket and spare rib), chevre, onion jam, pickles, hot honey glaze, marble rye
  • Blinis: Salmon and dill schmear, whipped ricotta and tomato jam, Russian caviar

Hours

  • Tuesday-Thursday, Sunday | 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Friday | 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday | 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Come see what the Docket is all about and as they say, “All rise, your appetite is in session.”
